The countdown is on to enter the 2018 Scottish Social Services awards before the deadline on 31 January 2018.

Anyone who is registered with the Scottish Social Services Council or who works for a company registered with the Care Inspectorate can apply.

Entries are already coming in from a range of people working in social services. From individuals to local authority teams, third sector projects and private companies, there is a category to showcase the positive work being carried out.

It is really quick and easy to enter.  Register online and then answer four questions to describe your project.

Why enter?

Awards are a great way to recognise and thank staff, celebrate achievement and share best practice.

It can also help to raise your profile, generate positive media coverage and promote understanding about the important role of social services.

A promotional film is also produced for all shortlisted entries, which you can keep for future marketing and awareness.

To help you write the best entry, plan as much as possible.

Read all the categories carefully to make sure you enter the most appropriate one. Selecting the wrong category can be a common mistake.
